ABOUT US &
WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Purpose, Vision & Mission

Our mission at Eagles Nest is to bring generations together to encounter Jesus Christ through worship that focuses on Jesus, the teaching of God's Word and by reaching out in our community and realm of influence to share Jesus with others by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Eagles Nest exists to build strong, Christ-centered families one person at a time, using faith, hope and love to bring the goodness of heaven on earth, so that all people will know God as their Heavenly Father, Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit as their Comfort and Guide, enjoying life in every season.

We are called to unity, living in the four pillars of the Kingdom of God: The Word of God, The Work of Jesus, The Work of the Holy Spirit, The Church in the World.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The standard for living and basis for our beliefs is The Word of God (The Holy Bible, The Scriptures).

We believe in the entire Bible, Genesis through Revelation, the infallible Word of God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

-John 3:16-19 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.

-John 14:6

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

-John 1:1-17

...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

-Romans 10:9-11

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

-Ephesians 2:1-9

SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST ALONE

The Scripture verses above are just a few that can help lead you close to Jesus and would be great to tuck in your heart. If you're not sure if you've fully surrendered to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you need a fresh start with Him, tell Him today. Here's one way you pray:

Heavenly Father, I believe that You are righteous, holy and the one true God.

Thank You for sending Your only Son Jesus Christ to redeem me by Your blood on the cross. I believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for my sins, rose again and is alive forever. I repent of my sins and thank You for Your forgiveness.

Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and the only way to the Father and eternal life. Jesus, I love You, and today I choose to put my faith in You. I choose to follow You and forsake the things of this world.

Come be the Lord and Savior of my life.

Holy Spirit, please fill me and teach me Your Word and help me live a life that pleases the Lord in everything I say and do

In Jesus Name, Amen.

If you prayed that prayer for the first time, congratulations on making the best decision of your life to follow Jesus! Though troubles will still come, you have Jesus Christ as the Anchor for your soul, firm and secure, and He promised to never leave nor forsake you. He is the One who has overcome, and you can come to Him in prayer and worship with joy and confidence that He hears you and has sent the gift of His Holy Spirit to help us.

We encourage you to focusing on drawing close to Jesus and fall in love with His Word, and to commit to worshiping and serving in your local church that loves Jesus and His Word and being discipled by people who love Jesus to continue to grow in every season, high and low. It will transform your life.

Curious where to start in God's Word? We have a Bible plan that will help take you through all of Scripture. Otherwise, the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are a great place to start, to learn about Jesus and what He's done for us, and from there, you could continue through Acts and Romans. But we do encourage you to read from Genesis to Revelation as well, inviting the Holy Spirit to open the Scriptures to you and to show you Jesus Christ as you read or listen.

Lastly, if you prayed the salvation prayer above, let us know on our contact page! We would love to cover you in prayer and answer any questions you might have.

Jesus loves you!
